Commodity Supplemental Food Program
& Furry Friends Food Bank

Healthy Peninsula partners with Eastern Area Agency on Aging (EAAA) to deliver Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) monthly boxes to improve the health of low-income older persons, at least 60 years of age, by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA foods.

Each box is 30 lbs and includes juice, shelf stable milk, cereal, peanut butter, canned protein, pasta or rice, assorted canned goods, and a two-pound block of cheese. Healthy Peninsula's delivery program serves recipients on the Blue Hill Peninsula, who receive monthly food boxes (and often fresh vegetables and fruit from the Good Shephard Food Bank) delivered by volunteers.

In addition to the food boxes, we deliver pet food and basic pet care supplies from EAAA’s Furry Friends Food Bank for those recipients who also have pets.

For more information on signing up to take part of the Commodity Supplemental Food Program, please call our office at 374-3257 or email: info@healthypeninsula.org
