Healthy Peninsula is delighted to be hosting, in partnership with Healthy Acadia, our first Goodwill VISTA volunteer. Lilyanna Sollberger will be working part-time on Healthy Eating projects through August. Having grown up on the Blue Hill Peninsula, she is deeply invested in the health and well being of her community members. Lilyanna attended College of the Atlantic, where she focused on food waste and sustainable business. She plans to continue on to medical school to study family medicine.
Lilyanna will be tending our community garden–keep an eye out for seedlings popping up! On Fridays, she will be at the Magic Food Bus stop in front of Blue Hill Public Library. She’ll also be helping out at Penobscot Elementary School’s garden camp. Lilyanna sees our projects as instrumental in promoting vitality within our community and is excited to be joining us this summer.
