The IRS Says “Yes!” to Healthy Peninsula’s 501(c)(3) Application

Sometimes our hearts drop when there is a letter from the IRS in the mailbox, but instead our hearts soared. There it was: the letter determining that we had been authorized by the IRS as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization, sometimes known as a 501(c)(3). Though we've been operating continuously since 2001, Healthy Peninsula, like many small service organizations, was nurtured by a number of fiscal sponsors, including Blue Hill Memorial Hospital, Child and Family Opportunities, and Washington Hancock Community Agency. We sincerely appreciate their past support, and we now look proudly forward to standing on our own two feet.
