Screening of “Living with Alzheimer’s Shorts”

Healthy Peninsula’s Thriving in Place Downeast brings “Living with Alzheimer’s Shorts” to Castine’s Witherle Memorial Library, 41 School Street, Castine, on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 1:00 pm as part of the Camden International Film Festival’s 2015 Aging in Maine screen tour. The Aging in Maine tour is bringing four award-winning documentaries to more than twenty different Maine communities

Following the screening, there will be a discussion led by Anne Ossanna, LSW, Program Site Manager at Friendship Cottage, the adult day service program in Blue Hill that is one of the partners in the TiP initiative. Ms. Ossanna has extensive experience in social work and elder care and has been a guest panelist for Hospice of Hancock County conferences on Alzheimer’s disease and Ethical Issues of End of Life Care, and a support group facilitator for the Maine Alzheimer’s Association. Coffee, tea, and light snacks will be served.
