News for Families with Young Children


Healthy Peninsula’s Early Learning will now be publishing monthly newsletters with upcoming events, activities and resources for families with young children.  Be on the lookout for our first edition later this month!

In the meantime, we would like to share some events that are happening this week.

Adams School  Preschool Meet & Greet on Thursday, May 16th at 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Witherle Memorial Library Family Room in Castine

S.T.R.E.A.M. Night at the Deer-Isle Stonington Elementary School on Thursday, May 16, 5:00–7:00 pm

Our annual spring celebration of Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, and Math will include activities and displays in all of these areas. Student science projects and community displays will be featured in the gym. There will also be a free dinner, Scholastic Book Fair, Free Book Cart and a raffle. Mr. Duquette will bring Jake the reading dog to listen to children read to him.  Join us for a great community event!

Butterfly Garden Party at Healthy Peninsula in Blue Hill on May 18th at 11:00 am

Kids and families are invited to help clean up the butterfly garden at the Healthy Peninsula office. Learn to identify plants, design labels and spruce up the beds. Snacks provided.
