On September 21, 2016, Healthy Peninsula staff members Janet Lewis and Anne Schroth attended and presented at th
e Third Annual Maine Summit on Aging Conference “It (Still) takes a Village.” The day was spent examining the many challenges we face making healthy aging a reality for all Mainers and celebrating the many partnerships that have been forged in recent years that are successfully addressing the broader health needs of older adults. Anne participated as a morning panel speaker for Thriving in Place: How Community/Medical Collaborations are Improving Health and Well-being of Older Americans, and Janet was a panelist in the afternoon session of Food is Medicine: Partnerships to Improve Food Security-Connecting Older Adults to Food Resources in Maine.
