It’s summer, time for the Magic Food Bus and Flash! in the Pans to join forces one more time. Shake off a long, rainy spring on Monday, June 11, from 7:30 to 9 pm at the Blue Hill Town Park. This event is one of the primary fundraising opportunities for the Magic Food Bus, and it’s a fantastic way for the community to help ensure a bountiful season as we expand to include the towns of Brooksville and Surry.
On June 22, Healthy Peninsula’s Magic Food Bus begins its seventh season of offering free, fresh, local produce, health information, and library books for children and adults. In 2017, the “Bus” will visit fourteen sites in six local towns, distributing thousands of pounds of fresh vegetables and fruit from July through October to people of all ages. For information about the schedule, you can check our website at www.healthypeninsula.org or call 374-3257.
Flash!, Maine’s largest steel pan dance band, performs benefit street dances for non-profit organizations in the Blue Hill area and across the state all summer long.
Help Flash! help the Magic Food Bus! Donation only, everyone welcome! Rain venue at the Blue Hill Consolidated School.
